HTC U Play gets a price cut of Rs 10,000 in India, available at Rs 29,990
HTC U Play was launched earlier this year alongside the HTC U Ultra. The smartphone — HTC U Play is now available in India at a price tag of Rs 29,990, which is much lesser than that of the original price. To recall, this U series smartphone was initially launched at a price of Rs 39,990, but in India, the smartphone gets a price cut of Rs 10,000. HTC U Play is available exclusively on Amazon.in. HTC is at present working on its next flagship phone, dubbed – HTC U11.The Taiwanese company just a few days ago announced that the upcoming HTC U11 will be officially launched on May 16. The smartphone is available at zero cost EMI to customers for a limited period. May be, not.In terms of the specifications, HTC U Play sports a 5.2-inhc full HD display paired with Super LCD display with Gorilla Glass protection. The handset also comes with a 64GB internal memory and 4GB of RAM. The to-be-announced HTC U11 is expected to be backed by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 SoC. This means that the upcoming HTC flagship will be more powerful than its predecessor. Even the upcoming HTC U11 is expected to feature the HTC Sense Companion, which is surely going to be a standout feature of the device. The HTC U Play also features HTC USonic2 microphones. These microphones come with the ability to “analyse your inner ears with a sonar-like pulse, and then adapts to you” says HTC.On the camera front, the HTC U Play sports a 16-megapixel camera on the rear panel, while on the front also, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel sensor. The rear camera comes paired with a BSI sensor, optical image stabilisation, PDAF, an f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. While, on the other hand, the front camera comes with an UltraPixel mode, a BSI sensor, an f/2.0 aperture with a 28mm focal length.HTC U11 is set to launch on May 16. The smartphone has already been subjected to several rumours and leaks. In terms of specifications, HTC U11 will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC and run on Adroid 7.1.1 Nougat. Further, the device is rumoured to sport a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, which is protected by a Gorilla Glass 5. On the camera front, the device features a 12-megapixel primary camera which comes also with OIS and HTC’s “UltraPixel 3” and “UltraSpeed AF” brandings. While on the front, the upcoming HTC device comes with a 16MP front-facing selfie shooter with f/2.0 and selfie panorama.
