Advertisement Reiss Nelson was key to Arsenal’s win over Liverpool on Wednesday (Picture: Getty Images)Reiss Nelson earned praise from Alan Shearer and Steve McManaman after scoring the winning goal in Arsenal’s surprise 2-1 victory over Liverpool in the Premier League on Wednesday night.The youngster pressured Reds goalkeeper Alisson Becker into a poor pass, which Alexandre Lacazette pounced on to feed Nelson, and he duly slotted home past the Brazilian.Nelson had also been key in Arsenal’s opening goal, haassling Virgil van Dijk which caused the Dutchman to play a dreadful pass and Lacazette was quickest to react again, rounding Alisson and finding the back of the net.At just 20-years-old it was Nelson’s first ever Premier League goal and the division’s record goal-scorer was thoroughly impressed with his composure.AdvertisementAdvertisementADVERTISEMENT‘I was really impressed, there was no panic at all for someone from so young,’ Shearer told Premier League Productions.‘He won’t have been in that position many times, but he doesn’t panic. His first instinct is to get back, get onside and get the pass.‘When it came to him, his first touch was beautiful and he just slotted it into the net.
